video killed the radio star

Today has been one of those rather manic but super exciting days that I seem to be having a lot of at the moment.

A friend of mine, Chloe and I nipped across town to Express Radio Station and went onto the drive time show to talk all things fashion with Lucy Mills.
It was a great show, that lasted almost an hour and a half, where we spoke about this seasons trends, a bit of fashion history, and about our current FMP projects as well as about Portsmouth University and our course.

We also launched a competition, to win a day with myself and Chloe, to be styled by us and have a before and after photoshoot. The question was, early in the show we discussed fashion trends for Spring Summer 2010, what was the main trend we went into detail on???
You can enter the competition online at www.expressfm.com and we will hopefully be going on the show a few more times to talk all things fashion again.

Stay tuuuuuned :)

Freshers Fundraising fash-ON Show

Back in September of last year, myself, Nikki, Chloe and a few others decided we would start our fash-ON fundraising with a fashion show, quite a suitable fundraiser you may think! We went to local Southsea businesses and asked to borrow clothing from them as well as enhancing the show with collections made by three students, Chloe, May and myself (as obviously organising the show wasn't enough work!) in the end we managed to bag, Dead Mans Glory, Rokii, Deluded, Bored, Dress Code and Beautiful Me all of Southsea fame to lend us clothes for the event. As well as tshirt producers Individual Threads. We had a range of stalls and various activities running throughout the day including a stall from Urban Spark Jewellery.

We had two shows, one at 4.30pm and one at 6.30pm and despite a few hiccups (drunken models and musical issues.. the less said the better!!) It was a highly successful event and started our fundraising off at a fantastic pace.
